FIELD TECHNICIAN

Job Summary: Operates utility equipment and attachments in connection with the construction and maintenance of public works, water and wastewater systems and treatment facilities, and performs various other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License. Must be able to use or learn to use hand tools and construction equipment. Ability to operate equipment carefully and safely required. Ability to make or learn to make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment required; ability to deal effectively with superiors, fellow employees and the public required. Ability to comply with all AMUD safety and personnel policy procedures required. Ability to lift and cane loads up to 100 pounds required.
