The Acton Municipal Utility District (AMUD) Board of Directors has approved a new Schedule of Fees (attached) for plumbing inspections and grinder pumps inspections effective October 1, 2007.  These inspections are regulated by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and State Plumbing Board.

The following information specifies the water and sewer inspection requirements; facilities constructed within the District, along with the low pressure wastewater system policy and procedures.

Please be aware that any structure for which the attached schedule of inspections has not been performed and passed by the District will not be approved for service.

If you have any questions regarding the new fees or required inspections, please feel free to contact me at (817)326-4720.

Thank you,

Permits are required for new construction.

Permits are required for remodeling and or additions that change or add to the existing water or sewer lines.  This includes water heater replacements.

Sprinkler Permits

Permits are required for new installation of sprinkler systems and replacing backflow devices or on any hazard which requires a backflow device to ensure public water supply is kept safe.

License Registration Form

There is not charge to register with AMUD, however inspections will not be completed on permits without contractor being registered with AMUD.  To register the contractor needs to complete the License Registration Form and present it to the AMUD office along with a copy of their Driver license and plumbing or backflow licenses.
