CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORTSince 1998 you may have received communication from your local water utility. It is called a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). The CCR identifies the source of your drinking water, treatment used to purify the water, any contaminants that have been identified in the water, and what the potential health effects of those contaminates are. It will also identify where you can get additional information about your water supply and how you can become involved in protecting water sources. Water Utilities have been required to develop these reports since 1999. CCR's will be mailed to all customers. Follow the links below if you would like to get a copy or call the office at (817) 326-4720The Safe Drinking Water Act The CCR is being required by a new Safe Drinking Water Act, which was passed in August 1996 and provides you the water consumer--the right to know and understand what is in your drinking water. |
