Bill Payment

Acton Municipal Utility District offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.

Payment through AMUD Online Site

Follow the ‘Pay Your Bill Now’ link to our online payment site.  You can pay your bill using your VISA, Master Card, Discover or E-Check.  Your payment will post to your AMUD account by the end of the next business day.  

If you need assistance, please contact the AMUD office during our normal business hours, or you can call the Paymentus Customer Care support line at 1-800-420-1663, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 Payment by Mail

If paying by check or money order through the mail, please include your payment coupon with your payment. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five to seven business days prior to the due date specified on your bill.

 Payment by Automatic Draft

The worry-free way to pay your water bill.  With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your credit card or your bank account.  There is no set-up fees or charges associated with this method of payment.  You can now control your payment options through a secure encrypted connection.  Credit card information, check routing information, setting up recurring draft payments and creating your own account alerts can all be done at your convenience online.  To set up Automated Draft, simply click on the red  Pay Your Bill Now  Button shown above.  

The new security features use 128-bit encryption, one of the industry’s most secure transaction environments.  AMUD will no longer retain credit card numbers or credit card account information.  AMUD customers will need to update and maintain their own payment preferences online.

Information you will need to make an online payment:

  •          Your AMUD Account Number (include all dashes).

 Payment Drop-off Location

You may pay your bill in person at the AMUD Office located at 6420 Lusk Branch Court.  We accept cash, check, money orders, MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards.  Acton Municipal Utility District business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  A night drop is located next to the drive thru window for after hours payments.  To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, Fridays and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy.

Payment by Phone

AMUD accepts MasterCard, Visa and Discover Card and E-Check by phone through our automated phone service.  There is no fee for this service and your payment is posted immediately to your account.

Sign Me Up For Paperless Billing!

There are no charges for going paperless.  It is simply a choice you now have.  Currently we can only send email to one email address.  At your request we can also send a paper bill.  Late notices will be mailed.  Failure to receive and email or paper bill does not waive 10% past due penalty.  Bank Draft and Credit Card Drafts are a great complement to paperless bill, making it even more convenient.  

Once you sign up for paperless billing your AMUD statements will be emailed to the email address you have provided.  The email is from TOPS@AMUD.COM.  And this email will have an attachement of your billing statement the next time billing is calculated for your area. 

What to do if you do not receive an email:

  • Check your spam folder, deleted mail folder or junk folder. 
  • Please give us a call if you are still having problems We will be happy to help you if you are still having problems.
  • Remember, just like paper bills, failute to receive your bill does not waive the 10% past due penalty. 

Payment through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay Warning

Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank’s website). Normally, these services debit the customer’s checking or savings account to pay the bill.  Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service.  Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer’s account.  Please consult with your bank for more information.  Payments are posted to your account on the day they are received in the office.  AMUD does not accept electronic transfers directly from outside sources.
