No Increase to Water and Sewer Rates

Acton Municipal Utility District (AMUD) has an ongoing commitment to provide safe, plentiful water and wastewater service at the lowest possible cost.  We continually evaluate our operations to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and effective manner.

While we all continue to experience high costs impacting everyone financially, from the price of groceries to electricity and gasoline, just to name a few, AMUD is continually striving to keep our operating budget as low as possible while still maintaining our water and wastewater system. 

In this effort, each year the AMUD Board of Directors are entrusted with the task of reviewing AMUD’s current budget and approving a budget for the new fiscal year, which begins October 1^st.  This task includes reviewing revenues required to maintain our water and wastewater system to provide safe and reliable services for our customers, as well as reviewing water and sewer rates charged to provide these services.

We are pleased to announce that at our Regular Posted Meeting, August 20, 2025, the Board of Directors considered water and sewer rates, and determined that an increase is not needed at this time.  Therefore, there are no increases in water and sewer rates for this fiscal year. 

We will continue to evaluate our operations to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and effective manner and continue our pledge to you to provide safe, plentiful water at the lowest possible cost.
